Second time around, slot referendum passes in Miami-Dade County
After a tough three-month campaign, voters gave “a resounding yes” to a pro-slot machine referendum in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Spearheaded by Yes for a Greater Miami-Dade, the effort will create “6,000 new jobs, give a boost to local governments and existing businesses, draw tourists and in the first year generate $210 million in additional state revenues that could be used for education.”
“I am very pleased that we were able to help our client, Yes for a Greater Miami-Dade, win such an overwhelming victory in this referendum campaign,” said Tad Devine. “This win is especially gratifying because the referendum lost only two years ago. This was a great campaign on the ground in Miami, and I am happy that the ads we produced contributed to that victory.”
